717 Dolores is a home away from home for many students.  It was recently renovated and houses 37 people with ample common space for get-togethers as well as a sunroom that is perfect for reading and studying.  The building is one of the most beautiful on Mayfield.The chef, Cathleen, has been with the house for over ten years and is known as one of the best at Stanford. Each year she makes a point of befriending the residents, adding to the house's sense of community. Due to its distance from the main campus, 717 is one of the quieter Row Houses, but there is a lot of interaction with the rest of the Upper Row. The distance also encourages a strong house community, which is supported by weekly house events. 717 is the quintessential Upper-Row house.
